A child’s reading skills are important to their success in school, work, and life. Reading is the key for lifelong learning, and our goal is to help instill a love of reading.

 

Our focus will be on reading and working on comprehension together, with the goal of making reading fun and building positive habits. ​

Our reading curriculum includes: 

• Selecting books and passages that align with learning/grade level standards

• Reading aloud

• Checking comprehension with periodic questions

• Identifying and defining new words
