How to Enroll Your Child for Tutoring

Thank you for your interest in tutoring from The Summer Scholars!

Benefits of Summer Scholar Tutoring:

• Focus on reading and literacy, the fundamental building blocks of education

• Low-pressure, fun and relatable tutoring from academically strong local high school students

• Help prevent the "summer slide" ... the learning momentum slowdown that most kids experience during the summer months

• It's free!

Things To Know:

• All Summer Scholar tutors are high achieving high school or college students in good academic standing

• All sessions occur at the public library

• All sessions will be supervised by an adult in case of any emergencies

• All materials will be provided by The Summer Scholars

• Tutoring takes place during the five weeks from the week of June 22nd through the week of July 21st

Guidelines to Participate:​

• Students must commit to the weekly sessions

• Students should commit to building reading habits at home

• Our tutors are not qualified to work with special needs students at this time

• We are also not qualified to work with students where English is not the first language
